It may be that you have upgraded your Windows XP desktop operating system from Service Pack 2 (SP2) to Service Pack 3 (SP3). In order to learn whether Windows XP SP3 is already installed, click start. Then right click My Computer, and then click Properties. It will show whether you are using SP2 or SP3.
