Recently photos have surfaced on Google’s Nexus One phone, which will be the officially Branded phone of Google, though it is manufactured by HTC. While Google already has a number of phones supporting their Android operating system, such as the G1, and Motorola Droid, the Nexus One is sure to truly take on the iPhone for the biggest stake in the mobile industry.

While Google has been most well known for their search engine and applications such as Google maps and Gmail, Apple has been better known for their actual hardware, such as iMacs, Macbooks, and iPods. However, with the emergence of the iPhone, Apple took the mobile industry by storm, and in 2010, with Google’s emergence into the mobile industry, there is sure to be a colossal battle between the two.

With various employees from Google tweeting about their Nexus One, it is evident that the time is near that the phone will be released to the public. That leaves users with the ultimate decision. Do they go with the iPhone, which has been tried and tested, or the new Nexus One, which will have Google’s track record behind it.

There is reason to believe that the Nexus One will be the first real iPhone competitor. Recently, there have been many phones stepping up to the plate against the iPhone, and though while some make a splash, they have yet to put a dent into the luster of the device from Apple. The Blackberry Storm was set to really challenge the iPhone, though it failed miserably. The Motorola Droid has definitely made its mark, but in reality, it’s a different style phone, as it has a slide out keyboard. The Google Nexus One, however, shares a similar style to the iPhone, and thus, will be its ultimate competitor.

The truth is that Apple’s mobile device, now up to the iPhone 3GS, is the best one can get when it comes to cell phones. However, the Nexus One will have the Android operating system, which has become wildly popular, and it will no doubt be a premier device with the Google stamp. Google has notoriously done everything with great success, and there is no reason that the Nexus One will be any different.
